How to install Cloudera QuickStarts CDH

In this tutorial, we will take a look the installation of Cloudera QuickStarts. Cloudera provides some of big data libraries such as Hadoop, Pig, Hive, Oozie, Spark.

Step 1 ) First of all, we need to download Cloudera CDH 5.x

http://www.cloudera.com/downloads/quickstart_vms/5-8.html

Step 2) Select applicable version

Step 3) Virtual Box should be downloaded because Cloudera will be worked in virtual environment

Step 4 ) Settings should be configured on VirtualBox

After installing VirtualBox, follow ‘File –> Preferences’ pop-up

‘Input’ should be selected and ‘Auto Capture Keyboard’ option should be unchecked

Step 5 ) ‘Cloudera quickstart’ should be imported

At first , ‘File –> Import Appliance ‘ should be selected , then .ovf file is selected

Step 6 ) Virtual environment be able to run and can open related libraries
